    Mass Printing

I have about 300 digital pictures from a Europe trip that I want printed. Anyone know about deals for printing that many pictures. Costco is about $0.19/pic, anything better?

I googled it and found a place online that charges 18¢ a print, but I have no experience with them.

    Kellybean,

Thanks, I will take a look at that. As soon as I get back from work today I will post the avatar in the critique forum. Bring on the suggestions once I get it up, it is something I have been working on for a while.

What type of process does Costco make the photos with? It not thermal or ink... What is it then? I was told that it prints using the same checmical process as photos... OK But how? Its printing something...

Anyone know how they do it?

I don't know the details, but the paper is exposed to light via LED's kind of like a scanner (hence digital) but is still developed with chemicals. That's my naive understanding.

A local grocery store has a Fuji Frontier and charges .18 for 4x6 prints. If you load them yourself at the kiosk, they don't automatically do any editing ("enhancing") unless you choose to do it. I've printed 8x10 portfolio pieces there too - at less than $2. Their prints are on RA-4 photo paper and look great.

Look into other local places - maybe you'll other options. In any case, you can't make prints on an inkjet for that!

the simple way 2 say it is they use a digital transpranse and project lights thur it and filter it just like normal film neg do, and the print go thru the same checmical process afterward.
