    CF card losing memory?

I just finished taking all of the pics off of my 512mb card, and after I returned it to my camera and formatted it, I had gone from 159 available pics to 142!? I reformatted, took it out, defragged it, formatted it again, and still it says 142 pics available. I haven't changed any of my camera settings.

    Any ideas? I'm aggravated! Thanks!

The number of pictiures left is an estimate as each image you take is a different size. Did you try shooting a few shots of subjects you normally do at the same ISO you normally use? This may reset the number to something higher.
