I have this printer for a few months now and it has been nothing but great. Very sharp, extremely fast, quiet and easy to use. Also, the colors that come out on print are almost exactly as it appears on my screen, and I have no calibrating devices. I have treid lots of different papers with it with good results. I find it can handle a paper as thick as 15 mil. I am now printing most of my work on the Canon matte photo paper. Comes in 8.5x 11 and 13 x 19.
Sorry I can't answer your camera compatabiltiy question. I shoot film and scan my negatives and then print from the digital files.. Just my take on this printer. Canon customer service very good, drop them a line.
