Question Borderless prints with Epson Stylus Photo 820?

I thought it was kind of cool when I bought my printer that it could do borderless 4x6 and 8x10 prints. As of yet, I haven't been able to do it. Is it possible to do it from photoshop, or do I have to use the "Epson Photofactory" software (I tried to sneer when I wrote that. . .did it come across?) I've actually never used Epson's software (besides the drivers, of course) but the idea of having to switch over to a different program in order to print my pictures bums me out. What am I doing wrong? I'm getting sick of looking at my paper cutter. . .Any help would really be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Chip

Re: Borderless prints with Epson Stylus Photo 820?

I used to have that printer. Well, I still have it but... Borderless printing (a.k.a. full bleed) is a function of the printer itself so it has to be done thru Epson's program. Do your Photoshop work, then import the completed file into Epson's software and from there you can pick the paper you're using, do contact sheets and make borderless prints. Yet another piece of software on the system... And that software can get huge because of all of the duplicate copies of images, so delete them from time to time from Epson when you're done with them.Borderless prints also take a lot longer to print, and seem to use ink cartridges faster.
