So far I like IPhoto to organize my photos. I have it set up so when I click the edit button in IPhoto it opens it up in CS5. Try it, I think you may like it. If you have thousands of pictures and you want to find all of the pictures of a certain person all you do is search for that face and it will find all the pictures of that person or you can search by places also.

I am still learning but if you have any questions send me an email or PM, Jeff

Thanks Jeff I may have to get in touch with you. I decided to use Bridge to up load and hope that is a good decision.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Absolutely right! :mad2:
JETA, if it's any consolation to you, I've had just as many problems with my 27" imac over the past 9 months as you've had with your HP. It's been in the Apple "hospital" for more than 20 days total so far - thank God it's still under warranty.

I've been using Bridge as a replacement for ACDSee and haven't had any issues in the last 10 months. The only thing I have found is that it bogs down when you get upwards of 1000 images in a single folder - I mean like "go have dinner while I load this thing and I might be almost done when you get back" slow.

Thank you all again. Lots to think about.

What I'm thinking is for the next machine I may buy a mac and work between both.

For sure I'll never ever go with an HP again. Once they sent me the new machine it took me a few days to get everything set up. I hung onto the old machine for about a week until I knew the new machine was a go. There was a voicemail left by my case manager that he was going to turn me into collections if I didn't turn in the old machine asap. Blew me away. It took them 5 months to make this situation right and they are going after me for having two machines for 7 days? Just bizarre.
    It's not blurry. It's bokeh.
