Wow! I love it. Like your cropping once again. The expression on the child face is pricless. Love the way she just pops out of the image at the viewer. The only real nit that I have with this image is the red sweater behind her. I find it some what distractiong and would have prefered had you toned it down a bit. Another very fine submission. Thanks for keeping us on our toes with your views of the everyday world. Love the way you see things.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Very nice, just as OT pointed out, she just seems to pop out of the picture.

    Very well done,

The reflection of the flags in her glasses are a stunning touch.

Very nice - I have to agree with 'old timer' the red sweater is a bit distracting. Otherwise very nice.

Very nice , Tuna. I agree about the sweater,, maybe you could desaturate it a bit.. Good use of render lighting and dodging to bring the girl out of the scene (if thats what was done. . .pardon me if I am wrong)

Good job, I love the composition and how the subject is at the far right of the shot.

    Re: The Young Tourist

Thanks to all for your comments. As Old Timer has pointed out and others have agreed with, I wish I had a little more definition around her head to make her "pop out" even more...I had not thought to desaturate/burn-in/darken the woman in red behind her - it sure helps. Thanks for the suggestion.

    Tuna,

Much better. Just great, and it does give the girl a stronger feeling and prescence in the picture! Great shot,

    Some doggerel

    The sunshine's colored pink today
    And denim blue the sky
The sudden warmth around us lay
    When sunshine strutted by

What a ray of sunshine in a dull looking day. Makes you feel good just to look at her - she spreads that joy easily. Is she a relative?

    Great words, Chunk. Thank you.

This is an old negative I recently found. The young lady is my 17 year old daughter when she was 8 - she's still a cutie.
