What could I do to improve this?

My first try with a landscape. I know most think the horses in action would be better, but I wanted to capture the peaceful natural feeling I felt when coming upon this scene.

    Hi payn,
This shot has a lot of potential. The background gives a soothing feeling. Just my opinion, the fence gives a feeling that the horses are not free and they are trapped, so the peaceful atmosphere is not so strong. Nice attempt.

I was going to walk to the fence, but this huge spider jumped out from nowhere, so ummm... I let it have it's space! LOL

Along with the previous comment, also the power line in the top left should be cropped out. I'd recommend drawing out some light green colors and softening it so give it a 'peaceful' feeling.
