Funbob, that is so cute! Your name fits you! I don't even mind that his ears are cut off, it seems to fit the shot. Good angle.

A cute shot. I don't really mind the ears being cut off either. What bothers me a little is the yellow cast from the tungsten lights in the background. Not a big deal and it could be subdued or eliminated in ps. Good shot. btw, I think this could be an advertisement for high speed access.. " Are you still using dial-up and waiting for those pages to load"? I could relate to that!

Re: Waiting on the election results

Thanks for the comments. He always does this when I have my laptop on the table. He likes the warmth that comes out of the exhaust vent. The cut off ears are a result of my crop. I was trying to get rid of some clutter in the background. Regarding the lighting. I prefer warmer colors but it is a bit much in this case. In addition to the normal room lighting, just behind him was a fireplace with a good fire going so that was throwing out a lot of orange light. Trouble is, I'm having a hard time correcting the color without shifting things too far towards blue.

Here's an uncropped version. I tried to correct the color a little bit with a levels adjustment layer. Darkened up the laptop and the screen with the burn tool and applied a little bit of unsharp mask to add some defintion to his fur. What I don't like is the ironing board in the background leaning agaisnt the wall and something sticking over the top of his right ear.

Re: Waiting on the election results

I like the last post better. Nice job. The ironing board does not bother me a bit, but the thing over cats ear does and could easily be cloned out. My cat does that to anything I happen to try to read on the table. As soon as I open a newspaper or magazine, she has to jump up and lay down in front of me on the pages. I think it's an attention thing.
