I took this shot with my Canon Digital Rebel. Focal length = 560mm A = f/4.0 SS = 1/800Sec, ISO = 200. I tried to include some of the gator’s environment to make the picture more interesting. I also didn’t want to lighten it up too much because I liked the way the water looked but I think the gator might be a bit too dark. I would love any suggestions people might have about this picture.

Now that's cool- and way better than my gator photo! The only thing that bothers me is the green leaf in the bottom of the photo. Otherwise I love it!

This is nice. I agree about the green leaf in the bottom being removed , but other than that this is very good.BG blur I think is just right. Alligator is a bit dark, but hey, thats the way they look in the water like that as it enables them to sneak up on their prey. Good work
