Yeah, this is a difficult shot. These things look gorgeous when you are there, but it is hard to photograph them in an interesting way. The long shot is interesting, but there just isn't anything in the normal shot that is likely to make it compelling to look at no matter what you do to it. Sorry, that is my vastly inexpert opinion.
