    The View From Below

I came upon this Black-Crowned Night-Heron one morning, and it let me get right under it, manuver all around and shoot until I finally had enough. I did a gradient on the background to rid it of unsightly clutter and a drab, gray sky and came up with this.

    Canon 20D
    Canon 100-400mm, L, IS
    1/200 sec. @ f/10, ISO 100
    Flash with white Omni-Bounce
Shot on a tripod at a very strange angle on a steep slope. My neck still hurts every time I think about it!

Well done, although the branch does obscure the bird somewhat.

This shot is interesting for it's very unusual angle. I'm not all that crazy about it, but it is unique and the sharpness is good. Being that you managed to get off quite a few shots at this range I would love to see the rest. good
