Unsure about one of these

Just some flowers in my dad's yard. The first one is unedited. I don't know if anyone else but me will like the second. Let me knoe.

The original shot is not bad but is too busy and the lighting is not complimenting these flowers. Also the top of the flower being cut off is not appealing Created too many shadows and contrast. The b%w version is better as far as the busy feeling goes but I personally not happy about the hue change and the color on b&w for this. What might work a little better in my opinion may be to leave the color as it was, color the other flower behind it as well ( although with less saturation) and also color the leaf in front of the main flower. Also, I would use very mild saturation

Any better? I mean, is it atleast a decent picture? Hey I'm trying here Thank you for the advice... I agree the full color photo is quite busy. This was the first time I had ever used my camera, I think thats why this photo turned out so bright. But anyway... thank you.

I think it is an improvement. Nice work with ps. I don't think there was much you could do with the camera that shot as it seems the light was just too harsh and there was going to be shadows and blowouts no matter what . A definite improvement, although I had even less saturation in mind.
