Two's Company, Three's A Crowd

Not often I stick two shots up for critique on the same day but with a bit of time on my hands I got a bit busy. How do you feel about this one?
With this type of shot I often worry how it is seen on other peoples monitors as mine is still in its virgin state (uncalibrated) and its an flat panel which can cause a lot of problems.

Nicely cropped. It seems a trifle contrasty, not a lot, but the statues' heads seem a little dark...could be my view though. Black and white is so very hard for me to accurately gauge. The pic does have a sense of whimsy though, with the human and the two statues. Appropriate title.

I think this is an interesting shot. I won’t comment about how it looks because I am not looking at a calibrated monitor either and I know the one I am looking at renders everything a bit dark to start with.

The composition is interesting and this shot really reminds me of being in an art museum, I can almost smell that smell LOL.

I like this. It gives my eyes a chase around the image starting with the three singers panel then to the taller statues then to the woman who is looking at the three singers which completes my circuit. I like the title's suggestions to link up twos and threes as there are several levels to this aside from the obvious; three art installations but only two match, three singers, three uprights, etc. Nice work thanks for posting the extra credit work, I enjoyed viewing it.

Tom, this looks good on my monitor.It appears contrasty, but i think that is because there are light walls and dark statues and person wearing dark clothes. I see much shadow detail here and I like the stark contrasts. Well framed, nice tones, and good title. My one nit pik here is I would prefer that the womans hat did not overlap into the piece of the three singers. Very nice work, Tom

Very candid and yet well taken shot. I really like many things about this shot.
1. how the woman is looking at the three while she's also part of a three! just great.
2. Love the poses.
3. The figure on the right is looking inwards, and the one on the left (the woman) looks away while the middle is quite indifferent/neutral. That also mirrors the relief on the wall which IMO is absolutely wonderful.
4. If you look at the relief it's the same thing. The one on the right is looking inwards while the one on the left is looking away and the middle is indifferent/neutral.

As far as the tones go, I think they do the job well. There's detail all over, even in the woman's jacket.

CLKunst and Liban; I must admit that your observations on the number 3 etc in the relief never came to my notice until you mentioned it.
Gary; Funny, I had actually mentioned this bit about some seperation between the woman's hat and the exhibit ( as a sort of self criticism in a discussion) elsewhere. Some were in agreement but another thought it made a good connection between the woman and the exhibit. Interesting. You are right about the contrast; it's inherent in this case.
Yoyo; I think it was the Michaelangelo Museum beside the Duomo in Florence Italy.
