    Two very different gull images

I was in Paris just before Christmas and in amongst all the snow and overcast we had one absolutely beautiful morning - these two were taken just outside the Louvre and are about as different as you can get....

    Grateful for any comments...

Very nice close up on the first one. I have to believe by the position of the statue having his head in his hand, that he has had birds sit on him before and knows what's coming next, Jeff

Lovely close up of the gull, the detail in th feathers is excellent.

I think the statue has been cleaned up since I took a picture of him with a pigeon standing on his head. Great photo.

Yes, two very different shots. I think the first one I feel as though I want to see the camera panned down a bit to bring the birds head up more in the frame and also get more of the wonderful feather detail and wing.
the second image is really fun and well done. I think its a great candidate for a b&w conversion.
Nice work, for a simple and common subject.

Great shots! The second one is really funny and the blue is lovely but I'd like to see it in black and white also

Yah, the second one is great. The first is good as well, but the second is very amusing.

I like both of them. The first has clear details and I like the color of the background. And the second is a great candidate for a funny captioned print.

Grandpaw, your sense of humor cracks me up.

kisu, very different photos, indeed! Your detail and color in the first is outstanding. Good eye for angle and opportunity on the second!

Re: Two very different gull images

Thanks for the comments and i have tried to convert the original image to black and white to see what it looks like - never done this before so probably not brilliant....

I guess there are probably quite a few shots of this particular stature floating around out there

Love the B&W!! That is a classic there. If that doesn't make someone crack a smile, there is something wrong with them. It just need the title "not again"
