    Trying some candid shots

I took this of my grandson with my Nikon 1.8 50mm lens yesterday. Even though I have had it for several months it hasn't got any use up till now. After using it a few times it looks like something that warrants a little more attention, Jeff

    What a great shot!

I think the 50mm does deserve more attention ;)

George Zimbel: Digital diahhrea is a disease for which there is a simple cure. Take one frame of a scene. It is exquisite training for your eye and your brain. Try it for a month. Then try it for another month…then try it for another month…..

Great expression and composition. I dont know about the stuff behind him though, I think I would like it better if he was in a playpen with a bunch of colorful toys all over the place Can you sharpen it up a bit?

Jeff - Better. I would take him to one of those kids playpens or whatever and snap away. I am trying to think of where I see them.. malls, theme parks, etc. Or, just create your own but don't forget to do something with that background - use a backdrop fabric if you have to.

Nice work. I think you did well getting eye level. The only thing I see that bothers me is the orange light upper left. Clone that and it is a winner.

I didn't notice the light. It was a night light that plugged into a electric socket so now it is gone, Jeff
