Trip to Boston - State House

Took a daytrip to Boston today and captured quite a few photographs with the D70. I was in a black and white mood today after looking at the photos so here they are for your review.

The first is a capture of the Massachusetts State House.

Thanks for any comments! Hope you enjoy.

Re: Trip to Boston - State House

For this photograph, I wanted to brighten the dark area behind the fence, but the sky was very light, so what I did was darken the sky (including the spots on the roof showing the sky behind it). Then, I was able to lighten the entire photo a bit so that accounts for the dark almost stormy look of the sky.

The roof of the dome is gold-leafed, so this is why it's so bright.

Thanks for any comments you might have on this photo.

    Nate,

I do like this photo the only thing is that the fence tends to lead my eye out of the photo. I like how the building seems to stand out of the picture.
