Tried the Nikon 70-300VR zoom out

I borrowed my friends Nikon 70-300VR lens to see how it would do. I am very happy with what it gave me. This picture is straight out of the camera. I cropped it, resized it and added the frame and nothing else. See what you think! Jeff

I like the composition. However, a bit of sharpening will help improve.

Also, I think this photo would look much nicer if you'd crop out the outer brownish-textured part of the frame, sorry, it kind of distracts. Black would be better, like the inner frame section.
