    ...'til sundown

Cropped, resized, sharpened a bit. Your C&C are appreciated.

Edit: I see I need to straighten -- the headlights aren't level.

Great comp, exposure, color.I really think this fine capture tells a story.
My only nitpick: clone out the white wispy cloud up top.Leave this as is.
    Nice one.

    Re: ...'til sundown

    Thanks, Rick!

Here's the fix. I can't clone, so I cropped out the cloud.

    Re: ...'til sundown

That is a fine looking sunset Paula...to say the least. Sunsets in my short experience are terribly difficult to capture most of the time, either the exposure or saturation fails, but you did fantastically good on this one, congrats!

    Re: ...'til sundown

Nice Paula! The cloud didn't bother me. Why can't you clone?
Didn't know what to expect from the title but the simplicity of your composition speaks volumes about rural agricultural life where you work from sun up to sundown.
I do wish the vehicles were sharper.

I don't know how to clone -- and, for now, I don't want to tackle PP. I'm still working on trying to get something decent out of this camera:crazy:

I tried to sharpen because I thought the same thing about the vehicles -- but it was a quick shoot from the hip. I pulled up to the stop sign and looked left and there it was! So I grabbed the camera and grabbed the shot - no time for anything but seconds of focusing -- and pretty happy to get what I got.

You got the point of my title -- work sunup to sundown.

Thank you, Frog, Bill, Grandpaw and BlueRob for looking and for your kind words!

    Re: ...'til sundown

IMHO the very slight softening around the vehicles adds to the shot, because when I look at a subject that is directly in front of the sun every thing is blurred to some degree. Great reflexes and instincts got you a Great Shot.

I'm good with either one Paula, the cloud detail in the first is a bit better for me. Great shot, well done. S

    Re: ...'til sundown

Great job Paula! To be honest I also like the original better (top of tractor was level so it worked for me) The vehicles are a wee bit soft, but it doesn't detract. Love this one!

I like it. it has a very nice 'western flick' feeling to it. I can almost see cowboys in the horizon. it looks like a shot straight out of a movie. technically very well done also, love the way you hid that sun behind that truck thingy.

If I understand your submission states that you must straighten out the headlights of the car.
I do not see the need because we do not know how the land at that point and, since it is not a paved road I doubt very much that it was flat.
Therefore I do not think there is nothing to be corrected.
The colors and composition are very OK. Good shooting!
