There be ghouls

Out walking the dog and came up on an old trestle in the woods that has received some country boy graffiti. I only had my 18-200 but figured I'd try some compositions and go back with the tripod and probably my wide angle for some other shots but when I opened this one, I rather liked it as is with some editing. Is it too green?

It's so dark (underexposed) it's hard to tell if it's too green! Don't see any trestle or graffiti, but I do see what appears to be a wooden Indian next to a real-estate sign (or something yellow"ish")

Hey Frog, I agree with Jet in that its dark and i see the same thing. What looks like an Indian chiefs head next to a wooden something or other in the middle left arrea.
There is something pretty cool about this though, I guess I like a good mystery and ther is enough to keep me scratching my head and trying to see more, but in the end I will concede its probably too dark.
Any chance of lightening it up some , and also looking forward to what you can get when you go back with a tripod. although sharpness does not look like a problem here.

Yeah, after I posted last night, I realized it looked much darker here than it did when I was editing it.
The large dark area on the right is part of the trestle and the "indian" face is on another.
Maybe it only works for me because I know what it is.
When time allows I'll work on it more, trying to keep a balance between brightness and mood. Not sure how to get it so everything doesn't just blend together. As is, one can hardly distinguish the tree to left from anything else in bg.

Wow, didn't even see that until I looked closer.

It's a neat expt Frog, but I can't help but feel that it would be 10 times better if there were some sort of illumination of this head thing. I don't feel that it being dark is bad, just that the density is too monotone. It's like a test they might give to imagery analysts in the military seeing if they can spot the hidden tanks or missile launchers in the photo. Anyway ,.. good post, as it is quite different.

Same story -- too dark, but very interesting looking. Love the fern frond looking things at the top.

I messed about with it for longer than I cared to do. I'll find the right combo somehow.
If I make it lighter it loses the mystery and you see the result of darker above.
I'm going to post another for critique in a few minutes.
