    Fish Market

This is a fish that was hung up at the market. I took this about 3 years ago on vacation.

Gross but intriguing. I wish the background were not so bight and distracting. I find your eye for the composition a content quite unique.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Good I think. A small top crop would enhance the overall appeal for me.

Not a pretty scene, but your composition lends it too be interesting. i would only suggest bringing down the overall exposure by about a half stop to try to curb some of the extra bright areas.
    Pretty cool.

One of those photos that only a few would hang on their wall but is also unforgettable.
I don't know what you could have done to make it better in the circumstances but now that you have cropped the top, I would also crop the black band at the bottom.
Do you have an editing program with which you can darken the highlights?
If you have photoshop its under 'enhance', 'adjust lighting', shadows and highlights.

    Re: Fish Market

It has impact. To me though, the image is all about the center fish and the way its eye looks at you. The drool coming down is a bonus. I think I would play with some crops and see what you can do to draw more attention to that area.

I don't think this is it, but here's one crop I just tried...

I like your second crop best. And you are right -- the sad look in the fish eye and the drool are the "catch of the day!"
