    Triangle Park

Was in Lexington Saturday night for a 5K run and found this scene. Didn't have a tripod so I leaned against a light post and fired away. I kind of liked the results. What do you guys think. Nikon D70 with the 18-70 kit lens.

Wow, you get around for an old timer. I kind of like it too. I always find the blue light inside buildings fascinating. It has that clean look of glass, metal and water. Plus that one guy at the end adds intrigue. If the fence hadn't been in the front, it would have been better, but is still a keeper.

    Btw Ot..

would you happen to remember your shutter speed and aperture setting? I usually just guess at this kind of scene. You seem to get it just right.
    Thanks OT, Kit

    Hello Old Timer,

This is definately one remarkable night shot that you have achieved here. I don't know how it looks at it's full size but the downsized version posted here seems just as sharp as if you were using a tripod. The particular lighting of this building and your composition makes it really dramatic.

    regards

I was suprised when I download this shot to the computer and saw what I had. The full size convinced me to give it a try on the critque forum, it came out much better than I had anticipated when I backed up against the pole and released the shutter. Here is another from the same time. Not as nice but kind of a fun shot. Some kids cooling off in the water after a 5K run through the downtown streets.
