This photo has stayed with me for awhile, but I couldn't figure out why until recently. I was going to comment that the pillow and table in the lower left was bothersome and that the background was too busy. It seemed that these elements distracted me from looking at the bicycles. But then I realized that I did not want to look at the bicycles and I was looking for excuses to not look at them. As if it were embarrassing to look at them.
I know that sounds a little silly at first, but I think that that can be a strong element in storytelling. It would be like I was sitting at the table that is barely seen and seeing a couple that I know arguing (or something that should be more private). I don't want to look at them, so I look at the statue or the lamp, etc.
I try not to read what other people have said before I comment but I did anyway.
My feeling is that this shot is NOT too busy, including the pillows. If you had titled it something else, like 'my bikes' or something, then maybe I could critique the background elements.
The tittle is Stable, however, and all stables have stuff. Now whether this stable with its creatures,(the bikes). is well represented could be debated as it is not the typical stable even for bicycles. However, having come to know something of your nature, I have no trouble believing this IS the stable for your animals.
I'm not sure about the tilt and if it would look better straight or less tilted but its not a biggy for this one.
Nice pole lamp! I've tried to fix a few old ones but not with much success.
