    Orange County Waterfall

It was dry when we got there but it was fun just to get there.

    Re: Orange County Waterfall

Marco, I would never have thought it was a waterfall unless you said so. I can appreciate it because I really like the outdoors, a nice quiet place (besides the sound of running water). But from a photographic perspective, it's missing a subject and is too dark in the center area to really tell the view very much. Anyway, nice place

Very nice looking spot (where is this? I used to live in OC and tramped all over the Santa Ana Mtns), but GB1 is right: it is hard to tell what is going on. Perspective does not help tell the story and it appears that the horizon is running downhill. Foreground is too well-lit while the background is too dark. However, I ike the colours and it is an interesting looking location.

I am not sure where this is but it is someone in the Santa Ana Mtns. A friend of mine took me and I didn't know what to expect. when we finally go there I realized how unprepared I was for this. I don't normally take pictures like this so I posted it up here in hopes to get some critiques and pointers because I plan to go back there this weekend with a tripod... and, at a different time of day.

From the bottom it looks as though it is tilted right.

Wait for rain. It's not a waterfall unless there's water falling

    Agree on the rain.

The bigger shot is much better as it tells more of a story. Having the people in there also provides scale. This is a great place to return to in the rainy months.
