Spring Morning - Regent's Park, London

I took this shot walking to work earlier this year. The carpet of daffodils looked great, but I was particularly drawn to the shadows on the trunk of the tree on the right. I'm not sure whether the cloudy sky detracts from the image, or whether it actually gives more contrast to the branches.

If anyone has ony thoughts on this image, please let me know.

    Thanks for looking.

    Hello Matt,

This is a great photograph and I wouldn't change a thing about it. The clouds are welcome as I see it. Without them, the sky would probably appears washed out or at least lifeless.

    regards

Thank you posting it in B&W. Usually, where bright colors are involved (flowers), the photo is posted in color. You have been brave and should be rewarded with some positive comments. Very nicely composed. Looks like you shot from a low perspective which works for me. Clouds add a nice backdrop. Personally, I can see it slightly sharpened with some selective dodging in the background.

    Nice job, Matt.
