    Some pictures

Hey I'm pretty new to this and I was hoping you all could give me some suggestions on improving my pictures. These were all taken with a Pentax K1000 with Seikanon 28-80mm lens.

    ahhh a K1000

I got mine when I was 16 (16 years ago) and it's still one of my favs (just to cheap to spend money on film and impatient right now) welcome aboard

    1) the first is very out of focus and cropped a bit too tight and it's hard to determine what you were trying to get at ( subject matter)
    2) nice depth of field and details but again sort of lacking a visual interest ( I used to shoot alot of leaves and plants and unless there's something other than just the greenery or it's so interesting it lends to a not very exciting shot...

    3) this one I like... A Lot...some might say a bit too dark but with a bit of cropping on the outer parts i like the colors and the mood in this one...

    4) the last is not bad it just again lacks a certain oomph to it...it's a nice side profile but the expression doesn't add to the shot. Maybe re shoot and have more of the eyes visible...try different lighting less harsh...

hope this helps and doesn't discourage just my two cents from some one who's still learning..

I was just myself. I didn't know any other way to be, or any other way to live."
