I had this idea in mind since I went for some referencing on the field last week end.

    Re: some kind of apparition

Seb, I think this idea and execution works to make an interesting effect, apparition like as you say. This appears to be self timer, slow shutter and then . . " places, . . . lights , camera, action"!
Great idea. I prefer the top image with the yellow/orange hues as it sems more like natural sunlight.
I'm just not crazy about the feet being cut off in this comp. good creativity, Seb.

    You are almost right lol

I hardly ever use self timer, this was made with the remote controler. Yeah about the feet, I wasn't too sure about it myself, the problem is that I ran out of battery before I could figure out precisely where to stand not to be cut. On the other hand, I think that the "no feet" aspect put emphasis on the ghostly nature of the scene.

What is your take on this?

Brilliant idea Seb and the effect works. But I feel a lot of ghostly mystery could be added had the apparation not been looking towards the lens. The fact that you used the remore release would have enabled you to be walking from the camera or to either side and not to have the upright pose.
Definitely worth another go. I think also that B/W with this effect would work really well. What do you think Seb?

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan

    Tom,

I am not convinced about the b&w idea (I quickly tried it with this one before submiting at first and I wasn't found of the result...) but you are so very right about the pose! I have few ideas in mind. Let me recharge the batteries and I'll be back there.

    Thank you for your imput
