    Soft tail deluxe

...and the bike ain't bad either

This weekend I worked as a set designer on a big "group shoot" in West Palm Beach. 7 sets, 14 models, and maybe 60 photographers in attendance, along with us "staff people". Didn't get to shoot much, but at the end of the night a couple of us grabbed a couple models and shot on each others sets. This was the "harley" set. 1 5' octobox directly overhead:

Looks good to me, Jet. I like the soft moody light and the shape and comp of the subjects fit your frame well here.
If I had to find something to pick on, I would say i'd like to see the silhouette of her boot a bit clearer. A bit of lightening to the background behind the boot should bring it out some.

Great skin tone and subtle detail.

Other than the Harley very sexy. I jest. Getting a bit of wrinkle in the forehead that might be a bit of a distraction from the glam. But cool tones.

    Gary,
    Yep, easy fix on that.

    Daq,
Funny, the BMW dealer didn't offer to bring down any bikes for the weekend. As I understand it, they didn't even bother returning the phone call

very good! the lighting looks about perfect. the only nitpick i have are the handle bars, i wish they weren't there in the top right. her pose is really good, her face and look are great. everything else works.

This turned out to be a bigger project than anticipated (to lighten around the boot) but Harley Davidson of Palm Beach was thrilled to get a copy of the final:

Nice finishing touch, and no doubt they're pleased with it.
Yep, sometimes the seemingly simple stuff can become a real headache. i guess the boot and bg were very similar because of the darkness, but you did it nicely. Looks great.

I feel like SUCH an amateur! You did such a good job with the light effects, color comp, and pose. Very svelte! I would have liked to see the entire bike but I understand given her position it would be hard without making her look like she has some strange robo antler/growth coming out of her head. Fantastic! And Congrats as well. Not to sound impetuous but could ya take me under your wing? loljk...sorta

it would have been cool if we can see parts of her left leg ,arm , and hand. Her face is not relaxed.... she's trying to look up to face the camera (wrinkles). an overhead strobe pointing at her boots would have been nice to highlight those boots... make it shiny.
