    Snake River Overlook

This is the spot Ansel Adams made famous. The trees have grown quite a bit since Ansel stood there. I know, I know, crappy light, but I still kind of like it.

Light may not have been ideal but that's nothing to be ashamed of. I have the feeling this is a shot that could be given even more punch with judicious use of the curves tool in photoshop (something I really wish I had!).

    Wish I was there...

Had a quick go with it...A little curve, a little contrast...Man, I'm going to have to try and make my way down there this summer...Freakin' sweet.

Snake River Overlook in Grand Teton National Park
Snake River Overlook, located on Highway 191 between Moose Junction and Moran Junction, is a scenic turnout with views of the river and the Teton Mountain Range.
Approximately 50 miles of the 1056-mile long Snake River lie within Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.

Areas around Snake River are a great place to spot wildlife, such as Moose, Elk, beavers, bald eagles, and ospreys.

Oxbow Bend, just south of Jackson Lake Dam, presents exciting wildlife watching opportunities
