I like the pattern of the bricks and shadows. The building might make a great series of photos all by itself. Some subjects are like that. I am amazed at the clarity of the photos, taking into account the sharpening of course. That you can read the UHaul sign on the truck is very nice. What ISO? And when are you going to tell us what camera this is?!

    Just Checking

It was my impression that you were sharing tests from your new camera. Are you really looking for criticism? If not, you should be posting these on either the digital cameras forum or ViewFinder.

    Thanks-

I love how the shadows cast their patterns on the wall, yet the subject matter here is lacking. Either zoom in a particular spot or crop it.

    Nice 1 to 1's,

    Jared

    John,

I'll post technical photos in the digital cameras forum if you'd prefer (such as lighting and or product test shots). From the first post First Post Link I indicated that I was seeking critique on quality via technical feedback (focus, clarity, so on) and that all critique and comment was indeed welcome. I tried not to "lead" anyone regarding what the photos were really showing as I was trying to keep it semi-blind temporarily. This photo as an example was shot to test high contrast and lack of moire and artifact (or presence of them).

Move any of the " - New Camera roman numeral"" posts you wish!

Thanks and hope that helps to clarify. . .

If you haven't seen the post, the camera is a SIGMA SD-10. This photo was taken at ISO 200 , F5.6, 1/100th. 28mm Focal Length. Was using a Zoom lens this particular day.

I have several hundred photos of this building inside and out from the past few years. It's one of my favorite local buildings (75 mile radius or so). It makes a good test site for all things photographic because of changing light, brick, highly reflective surfaces, elevations and so forth. I'll be posting more from this one taken with the Sigma.

I am playing around with this one in b/w. When its better I'll share that one as well!

    Thanks for the comments!

Its an architectural interior and if you refer to the first post in this series First Post I'm trying to do as little cropping as possible. The shadows in this building can be amazing on a bright day. They all fall at regular angles. This is the building in Peoria, Illinois that is designed by the architect who did the Crystal Cathedral (which I believe you visited not too long ago).

The idea here as I replied in another post is to test for high contrast handling, moire and some other issue. This hallway from above is a "view" in the building and that is the subject. I'll be posting some window features and 'frames' from this building soon taken with the Sigma.

Thanks for taking time to make a comment.
