This is my 2nd post. My first was on the welcome thread. These two pictures are of my twin girls. It was done outside with my Canon Rebel XTi. Would love to hear some thoughts on these two photos.
You definitely have some winners there, both in the girls and in the photos, Jeff

The first I think is much better, the black frames her face nicely, I think you used fill flash too.
Second image the angle isn't as good to me, and the exposure is off, with what looks like blown highlight on her cheeks and nose.
You can't really see her eyes, that's a shame, and the focus appears to be too close, on her cheek and heir, not her eyes.
I like them both, but as Paul mentioned the eyes in the second one are not very strong and not in sharp focus. I think the second one would be my favorite here in that I like the warmer colors here snd the hood over her head framing her face so well. If a reflector were used or some fill in the second one so that the eyes came out more i think that would be the strong winner here.
Not bad nonetheless.
Both are nice shots and show a lot of personality. The first is a better composition and has better lighting overall. She looks like a middle eastern woman (they both do actually). The second is probably more moody due to the shadows and very thin depth of field, but her smile pulls it through. Looks like you'll have some good models for your photography for a long time to come,
