    RR bridge

This is my first attempt at doing a quadtone. The final result still looked a bit flat so I added a high pass layer to try to get the "pop" I was looking for.

The sky definitely looks funky. I also see some haloing. I like the processing on the rest though.

Halos (and sky) were a result of the High Pass sharpening layer. Removed the halos, but I kinda like the funky sky better than the alternative plain white, so I think I'm gonna leave that alone for the time being...

    Thanks!

I find the texture fascinating in this one Jet, it really suit the stark steel structure. The quadtone thing also bears checking out I think.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

i like it. very abstract. not much i can suggest to improve it. you've captured it well and you've composed it well also.

Hmm. I have mixed feelings on this one Jet. The different angles makes it interesting, but it may also be a bit too mechanical (maybe I'm too spoiled looking at all your model photos? ). My biggest concern though is that it looks very processed. I guess it's because of the shiny look on the metal but especially because the clouds and sky look a bit odd. Of course, this could be what you were intending for it to look like, as you state that you used an effect afterward. I wonder would it would look like in color.

Here's the original pretty much straight out of the camera other than resize/RAW processing

I now know what this reminds me of .. a carnival's merry-go-round, or the spindle of a helicopter (if it's called a spindle).
