    Bridge

I was just going through my photos for interesting ones that I haven't had much review of yet, and decided on this one. It doesnt seem like anything too great, but it still attracts me somehow. Why? Also, what do you suggest can be better about this? The bridge is only a few minutes of a walk from my house, so it would be simple to try anything with it (except the nice fall colors arent always there). It was more or less of a random shot when I took it.

sky is overexposed, try shooting a little later in the day. Depending on what's behind you (from this shot), you could try shooting from the otherside, especially since that shadow seems pretty important to further dragging my eyes to the end. you could try a lower angle or something like that as well. This would be great with some kind of subject like a bird on the rail or a pair of shoes in the middle facing out or something to make the viewer wonder more

What attracts you is the leading lines that draw the viewers eyes into and throught the picture. I don't know if a lower angle would be better or not but worth the try.
Because some areas are blown out and some are too dark to pick out details, I think this would have been a good one to try an hdr image on, if the wind wasn't blowing.

It's worth a re-shoot. Maybe try a HDR, but I think a better time of the day is the go.

    Re: Bridge

Thanks for the ideas. Like I said, this was just a random shot I took on my way to somewhere else to shoot some stuff, so I didnt spend much if any time on it, and wasn't planning on the time of day. I like the fall colors in the background, but I can try it with bare trees too. It needs to be looking that way, into the park, since the other way doesn't look nearly as good. I'll go out again sometime and see what I come up with and post here.
