very artsy. lighting is pretty much bang on, except for maybe her hand. which looks a bit too dark and weird. I think those kinda light material clothing look best in the air, maybe in a spin where they make a great sharp shape around her. I can imagine it in my mind but can't explain it properly. anyways, this shot is very artsy like i said. and the lighting is great so i have no nitpicks.

I don't know about the composition. Maybe a fan blowing in on the right of the shot, making the scarf ripple? Stuff like this, you can really play with while you're shooting.

I think this is a great composition and the tones are quite nice. I really wish I had the courage to hire models. Male or female, I am tired of doing self portraits.

Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback. Great idea Mark, and there was a fan there too. I guess it really pays to plan stuff out because time flies so fast when you're paying for it. (By the way someone who looked at my shots said they couldn't believe we did so many poses in 3 hrs, so I can't be too hard on myself. The model was really able to change quick. It was also good that I had an assistant. He wasn't a photographer but had good ideas.)

Liban, you're right about the hand, looks like it wasn't illuminated as well? The lighting was a bit off the entire shoot though, producing some odd shadows. Sometimes they look good, but.. I can see exactly what you're saying about a spinning dance with the scarf. Sometimes it's a bit hard to get away with that in studio because your max SS is limited by the camera's flash synch (mine is 250, but supposedly you can set it to 320 with some limitations).

I also think it's artsy, but what could I do PP wise to make it better? Seems a tad bland?

Daq, courage is easy; $, coordinating with the models, and time to plan out the shoots is the hard part (!) Thanks for the critique.
