Roosevelt Island

Took a site visit to Roosevelt Island to do some research on a Sert building, snapped these when I got bored.

Interesting place. The distortion makes me dizzy -- but I like it. Is there some horizon lean or is it that an effect of the distortion as well?

I like the panorama of the second one as well as the composition.

I see what your talking about, there is a little distortion in that back building, but that tree was naturally bend like that, I'll have to rotate it to fix the horizon line, maybe skew it to remove some of the distortion as well.

On the first one it would have been a big plus if you could have included the top of the rear building. On the second shot I would like to see a little more on the left side. I also think that if you skew the first one some it would improve it. I really like my Nikon lens with the wide end at 18mm but I have purchased a Sigma 10-20mm and it makes a world of difference, Jeff

I wish I had a 10-22mm, but they seem to be going around 400 bucks, and can't afford it right now with school. Over the summer I want to pick up the Canon 50mm prime 1.8 and hopefully a wider angel then my 18-55. The building on the right still seems to be distorted, but i cant fix it without distorting the building on the left. I'm going to have to break it up into 2 different pictures, fix the one on the left, then the one on the right then merge them later.
