Red Flower & Dirty Window

Simple enough.

On the bottom part of the flower I see a blue outline. What is it and how can I get rid of it?

It's probably chromatic abberation. You can probably fix it (or try) in the lens correction function in PS. Overall though, it appears to be pretty soft, and I don't think the lighting is helping. I do think that blurring the bg a bit would be helpful.

Yep. Chromatic aberration likely. Better glass or hand paint it out is the only way I have fixed it. PS is set up to deal with certain kinds of common fringing, but usually cyan I think. The only time I ever had to fix major fringing I hand painted it out with PS.

I wish there was separation between the flower and its reflection. now they melt together. the dirty glass doesn't bother so much, it makes it a somewhat grunchy shot. there's also a cyan cast over the entire image that takes away from the shot. try correcting it through the white balance if you shot this in raw.

Thanks for the suggestions, I shall try them. Also its a second flower and not a reflection, if that means anything different. As far as the chromatic aberration, I can't blame the lens since its a canon 70-100mm f/4L. I thought it happened in the processing.

That's a pretty good illusion Arne. Your image really makes the second flower look like a reflection in the mirror.

haha, yeah looks like a perfect reflection.

also, not sure if anyone mentioned it, but i just realized the thing on the left doesn't add to this shot.
