Not so much a dirty window as it is a very grainy/noisy image. I like the composition and the subject standing there, stark in the snow. I think bumping up the contrast even more so that the silhouette is darker would reduce the noise effect in the dark areas and make the image pop some more.Looks like a Don Schaeffer Photo. You got style
Thanks MB and Gary. The original was very muzzy becaise of the dirty window. If I increased the contrast then details of the background got wahed out. I oversharpened a layer and merged the oversharpened layer with the original layer--producing a texture effect. At least i didn't waste the photo.

Don, this works for me, but I think what bothers me here is really the white specks on the man. Perhaps selecting him and applying a noise reduction will just remove the specks and keep the effectof the texture appearance.
