    Red Barn reshoot: take 3

We got a dusting of snow yesterday morning so I went back to see if the white would make the barn "pop" a little better.

    What do you think?

    a few more...

Dif. barn, same property. I was told that this barn has been on magazine covers, as well as greeting cards. Also, Lands' End does a lot of photo shoots for their catalogs on this property.

Ok, that's it. No more barns for a while.

Please let me know what you think. How can these be improved, what do you like, dislike?

The old masonry is really classic looking. Out of all those photos, I like the barn images that include openings (windows) like this one:

    Hello

There are a couple of interesting shots, however I think these were just taken at the wrong time of the year and day.

With some strong fall folliage and blue sky with puffy clouds to offset the dominance of the red barn this scene has serious potential. As they are the barn completely dominates the scene, I don't notice much eles. Try again next fall and I think you will love the outcome.

    Hello,

I am glad to see that you went back there. Quite frankly these compositions works for me and the colors of the barn come out nicely. Unfortunatelly the washed out grey sky truly diminish the potential of your series.

My favorite compostion is the one with the "no trepassing" sign. The angle is really good and I like how the fence and the ground came out (colour wise). I'd crop some of the sky and the sign though.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm sure you will see somemore shots of these barns in the future. I plan on going back once we get a nice blanket of snow to cover everything. Hopefully there will be snow on the tree branches in he bg. And again in the spring when everything turns nice and green, and in the fall when the leaves turn...

Because there are so many pics I would not be able to point out to you which i thought was best so i posted the one I think is strongest. I would like to see more of the fence though in the next version and a better sky and lighting would further enhance. Great subject.
