Here is one of my newest floral shot, this was my first attempt at shooting flowers, as I basicly shoot action sports. This was shot with a Canon Digital Rebel at 1/80 shutter, f 5.6
and an ISO 400 with the popup flash.

You have a nice shot here. I like the narrow triangle formed by the blooms as well as the out of focus leaves and the spots of color from other blooms in the background. I think there is too much bright sky in the frame distracting us from the main subject. This may have been stronger with a bit less exposure on the flowers. Try setting the flash's exposure down just a bit. Since there are no real blacks in the picture I did a small histogram adjustment. I think a bit of curves adjustment to darken the lower tones would also give a little improvement.

Do some more flowers, I think you may have a knack for it.
