    Purple Flower

Took this in Colorado last year, seems like an alien more than a flower

Its a beautiful flower with nice bokeh. Maybe a larger fstop to help with the depth of field here. Hard to tell where the focus is in the picture. Would like to know where you found this flower in Colorado though!

@tatadero - Well, after looking at where I got the picture, turns out it wasn't in Colorado at all, it's actually is in South Dakota. We went on a long road trip last year and I got all my pictures confused. This was actually taken in one of the many forests around Mount Rushmore.

Question for you. What is bokeh? I'm still trying to learn terminology

Definition of bokeh- •The pleasing quality of the out of focus areas of an image produced by a lens. Derived from the Japanese word boke, "blurred," this term is sometimes used to describe the deliberate blurring of areas of a photograph or painting to create a sense of depth.

I think this photo is really beautiful! I love the bokeh, shallow DOF (depth of field), and the contrast between the purple and green.
