    Sorry it's another flower shot...but I thought it turned out well and well pink is sadly enough one of my favorite flower colors....thanks for putting up with me

    Hey, I like it... Believe me or not, I have been trying something like this for awhile now (my girlfriend is now real worried about me!). Yours is much better than anything I could come up to.

    A difficulty is to find a subject whose petals are symmetric enough to draw the viewer attention towards the inside of the frame.

    Did you take the picture in a garden (natural light)?

    Very nice! I see that you adopted this photo as your profile pic. Good for you!

    My husband gave up being worried about my seemingly obsessive compulsive behaviors a Loooong time ago...

    and actually it was taken indoors I think---
    f/22ish,1/500th, ISO 200, with flash(+3), D70
    WB- flash
    Below is the full size uncropped version

    No problems! Thanks for the info. I am thinking of buying a nice rose, offer it to my girlfriend first.

    As soon as she goes away, I will cut the stem, put the flower in a glass and the glass on my light table. I wonder how the it will look with the light coming from below. Unfortunately I do no own a digital camera so I will have to probably use a big chunk of film and try different variations of flash and exposure... Sounds fun!

    Do we have any Post-Your-Flower-Pics thread?
