    Pet Photography

    Frog made a post about having respect for pet photographers and I have to agree. I wanted to get some new shots of our puppy now that she is turning one year old and I couldn’t get her to stay still for two seconds.

    Anyway, here is what I feel is the best from about 20 shots.

    Love the face, not sure about the background but its better than the one I had.
    You lost her right ear tip but I lost both so good job.

    IMO, you don't need the animal to stay still for two seconds to take a photograph of it Take a look at these:

    In His Blood


    As a shot for your own pet, I think this one is fine. If you want, perhaps tone down the white a bit. Personally, I would sharpen the eyes, too. The whole point being to enhance the focus on the dog, not that anyone will have problem seeing the dog in this photo anyway.

    Why not just shoot a little wider angle then crop?
