    Panning

    Here's a shot I tried to take of a couple of girls ice skating. Not as sharp as I'd have liked, but I like the effect of panning.

    I don't even mind that the subjects are somewhat blurry.
    The motion shows very well and their blurriness only adds to it in this case.
    Only problem I have is their feet going off frame and whatever that blue and black thing is sticking out of his legs.

    Thanks, the black thing is a plastic penguin support for a small child behind the girls learning to skate, the blue thing is a skate on the kids foot. Cheers, S.

    I like the panning, but the placement of that blue skate and attached leg is about as bad as funny could be .
