    Ordinary Morning

    Hi,
This photo is taken at a set of traffic lights that I go through everytime I go to work. Ordinarily, the area I photographed is a wasteland. On this particular chilly winter's morning it made me wind the window down and grab the shot while I was waiting on red.

Some cropping and post processing in Photoshop later, and I'm rather pleased with the result. Thoughts?

    Cheers,
    Chris

Hey it's a neat photo. Creates an interesting emotion, reminds me of a scene from Edward Scisor Hands. A split ND filter may have help to richen the sky.

Wasteland in Ceshire? or do you mean Warwick?

I like this shot especially the haze and the sun just rising. Nice one.

    Re: Ordinary Morning

Thank you both for your comments!

Definately Cheshire Just outside of Crewe, in (on that occasion) sunny Nantwich. It is a very small bit of wasteland, I think the intention is to make it a bit of a wood. As an aside Warwick University is closer to Coventry than Warwick, so work that one out!

babaji, what is a split ND filter? Is it something to do in Photoshop, or is it an on-camera filter?

    Thanks again,
    Chris

    Chris,

I know Coventry and Warwick Uni quite well. I do some work with PTC Windchill and Rover (manufacturing) from time to time.

    What are you doing there?
