Hikers tend to dress a little differently in your country Phil.
Was the hair lighting and flare deliberate ?

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

I'm in California....yes you see a lot of nice joggers out here.

yep ...it's a different style for me...FLARES and the cross processing .
I have to learn it because I lot of people ...especially weddings and engagements love that type of treatment...flares and cross processing. Honestly...I'm not fond of it...not yet.

the treatment i could see working. I can imagine what you're going for. but the branches in the foreground are very distracting to me.

This has a very "high fashion - editorial" look to it. I really like the effect but would expect to see a size 0 model sporting a "haute couture" ball gown or highly embellished linen top rather than jogging apparel. Personal opinion, but the subject doesn't seem to fit the processing.

thanks.... I did the foreground because I seldom go out and shoot out. (studio hermit ). I think it gives the image a certain touch of character of the place. It reminds and gives you the sense of feel of the place... like in this case. there were a lot of dried bushes. I added that element to show that.... you see it being done in ads and especially in cinema. And I think really, it's just to plain boring for me to just shoot her with a background... so I added a foreground just to be different. ;)

thanks Jet... yep.. I was surprised when I saw her in person...it was one of those TRADE? you know.... I guess she gained quite a bit after those pics in her portfolio on line. LOL

so I just thought.... "okay she's young...so this would count like a senior portrait then". LOL

Looking at it that way, yep! Sure would work well in the senior market, hadn't really considered that

I think it worked for me. I have printed photos from the 70s with colors that look just like that.

I agree with Jetrims idea about the model and attire not fitting the mood of the image, but, as you say if your getting interest in these kind of looks from clients which may be engagements, sweet sixteens, etc. than the subject may very well look just this way.

i like the flare and backlighting, but the thick and brightly lit stalks in the foreground don't help. I also feel that there should be a greater softness about the image. right now, it seems to look like she is too crisp and gritty. Her hair looks great and soft, but her arm and shirt look very "hard' in detail.
Are you using a vagabond pack?

    LOL,
This is much better. The softness is there and the brightness reduced in the stalks make it less distracting.
