    Old school car

I really like the grill on this car...
I hope I have a chance to reshoot. I know that there could be improvements and I would love to hear what the are.
    Cheers.

Very nice. You've certainly captured the years of accumulated character that this old warrior carries. There are a couple minor items here like the post in the bg directly above the headlight and the stuff to the right of the hood that distract a tiny bit. When you go back, get in really tight on some of those details.

I agree with Chunk it is very nice and definitly shows the character of the car and I like the angle that you chose.

I would like to see it with a little more DOF to keep the car sharp and also watch out for the reflection as I find the sign reflected in the side of the car very distracting.

A lot of nice tones here. If the grille is the center of interest for you the bright reflection(s) on the left side of the shot pull attention away from the grille. The sign reflection is very distracting.

    Chunk-
    Thanks for the compliment!
I agree that the bg has some flaws, the post does not bother me, but that box to the right is killing me! I'm going to go back Sunday and try again and get closer. I can only get so close because I'm using a 35mm lense on a rangefinder.

    iclayton and CT -
Yes, I agree that the reflection is distracting - but I wasn't expecting the old car to have that much reflective surface. ;)

I hope to reshoot this weekend and have a re-post with everyones advice.
    Thanks.

I'd like to see a head on shot from a low angle as close as you can get. BW is perfect for this subject.
    That grill rocks!

I think you have a great subject here and I think the B&W is a great choice for this photo. I really like you you filled the entire frame with the subject as well.

    Re: Old school car

The old car grill reminds me of a large catfish. I like the angle of the shot but it seems like something is missing. I believe I should be able to see the driver’s side front tire under the car.... but maybe not. The others have already mentioned the reflections. Just keep working with this one.
