Re: "Old Oak" and the frozen Squirrl

I like #1 best. It seems like whenever anyone posts a series, they always lead with the best photo first.

I've been thinking of trying a wide-angle with some scenes like this lately. I'm guessing this was a telephoto shot. It kinda compresses everything together. If you stood closer to the tree, it would bring in more of the mailboxes and detail on the tree without diving up to much of the background detail and "story." Of course that would be a whole different photo - just thinking out loud, so to speak....

    I'm going with one also.
Don't like the road marks in two and three isn't wide enough

Is that the squirrel on the side of the tree?

Re: "Old Oak" and the frozen Squirrl

I really like #1 due to the more dramatic contrast
    #2 is close second
#3 is a farther away third place, the sepia treatment losses the dramatic contrast, but the squirrel here is easier to see, perhaps it's too small to really matter ? I really didn't notice it until the third photo

I like number one and it seems usable as it is.

One for me. I like your composition. I don't like the road paint in #2. I don't like the sepia nearly as well as the B&W. I had trouble finding the squirrel - can you jazz him up just a tiny bit?
