The top one has a warm glow to it. The bottom one seems a little harsh, but good, but the soft feeling of the top one is more appealing to me.

Hmmm, I personally like the second one, just because the first one is a little too warm for me. The one critique that I have is the car in the driveway is a tad distracting and out of place for this pic!

    Great shots though,

Number one really has such a warm feeling for a snow scene. I Really like that one. However the car is kinda' distracting to me.

I like them both (I agree with the others that the car is distracting). The first has a warmer feel to it, although it does look a bit like the house is on fire. The second looks more real to me, but doesn't catch my eye like the first.

Knight, efjeld, jar_e, almo, chris robbins,
Thanks for taking the time to look & comment.
the car must go. its the same image but ran auto levels on#2, so there is potential to tone down the first one, which looks more like what the eye sees, which is why i wanted to shoot it in the first place, very warm. I'm sure to reshoot this. I also like the second one.
    Thanks again,
    Mark.

I like the feel of the first one, but the second one is crisper, less fuzzy, which I like more.

Thanks kellybean, I feel the same. I dont think i did anything to the first in post. I work on it later. To tell the truth I'm sure theres a better angle to be had. I found a spot that put the light behind a tree and took a few shos w/o moving.

I don't have a problem with the car. Have you considered combining the sky from the second with the remainder from the first? I think the complementary colors strengthen the effect of the shot.

I think I just selected the sky from the second shot with the magic wand tool and copied it as a layer into the first pic. What do you use as an editor?
