This one is a toughie, Stuntboy. I really like the sharpness and the colors and the way those colors reflect on the surface. It's a toughie for me because I'm not really sure what the image does for me overall. It doesn't really tell a story or capture a particular moment or even instill a sense of mystery about its lack thereof and therefore it's missing something in my opinion. It should really be stressed that it's just my OPIONION, though, because like i said it is technically very nice. You've obviously got a good command of your camera. For me, it's just missing some kind of element that makes it a more successful and interesting image.

    Todd,

I love it. The simplicity, the colors, just perfect. One of my favourite shots of yours.

While the shot is nice, I think you could do a little more with it... good job though

Another kick butt photo that shows a unique view. I really like this type of look - contemporary and minimal, with soft colors.

The only thing that I don't care for too much is it seems that the objects are too centered. I took the liberty of a new crop (and also shrunk it a little). I think it looks a little better. I maintained the horizontal balance but placed the objects at approx the 1/3rd pt. What do you think?

    Hello Tod,

Oddly, I'd mostly go against what McMadCow said and I would say that I like the picture for what it is but that I don't think that the excution (technically speaking) is optimal. To me the subject isn't as sharp as it should be. Of course, it is fairly good but I think that it could be better. Same goes for the colours. Now I guess that colours rendition is more subjective and the picture could stay like it is but I would make it a tad flashier.

As for the rest, this is solid work. I like how you make the surface looks so silky smooth as I have already said about another picture of your series.

    regards

    Seb

    Todd,

Numbers three and four add an interesting depth and feel to the shot. I prefer those to your original, as it incorporates a larger depth and adds perspective.

    Great simplistic shooting,

    Jared
