Really good. love the inclusion of the oncoming vehicle. It's like a movie still. good stuff.

A good mood shot. I like it. I'd like it more if the car wasn't quite so bright, but what're you going to do?

Leels: The car was parked. It was there for just a few minutes, and it left exactly when I stopped shooting. I was lucky, because the photographs without the car in the background look really boring.

Armando: I had to tilt, because if I left it on the ground, it would not focus. I was not very happy, but then I started liking it.

Ridgetop: Yes it is, this was shot around 5 pm so the light was hard. Maybe with some editing it might look less like a sun with wheels xD.

    Re: Neglected Love

    Alexandre,

    Welcome to the boards.

Hmm. I think this is a decent idea, but I personally don't feel the execution is right. The tilt would be very easy to correct in post processing, but the bright high-key background doesn't match the mood of a flower. But maybe that was the point - a flower in the city, competing with concrete and the hectic work pace(?) Anyway, the vehicle needs a few more dark areas to really look like a vehicle (it almost looks like a shinny UFO ), and I would also widen up the scene a bit: seems a tad cramped.

Like I said - decent concept, just needs a different implementation.

I love the concept, and have thought of doing something very similar. I agree the background needs to be a little darker, grungier, or something. I don't mind the tilt, I think when used sparingly, it works well, and for this image I think it works to convey the mood. Great shot.

The car really looks like an old school UFO lol.

If this was shot 1 or 2 hours later, It would have looked much better.
