    Natural Loneliness

I took this picture a while ago, and since then it became my favorite one. The contrast is cool, I think..

    Re: Natural Loneliness

Ziggy - I love this pic! I bought my SLR in September and one of my first pictures I took was similar to this. I really enjoy how sharply focused the flower is and then how it blurs as you go further into the pic. If you cropped the photo a bit around the bottom and right edges, I think it would improved the composition. Overall it is a very nice picture - good job!

Ziggy, The colours and the dof works for me but I don't care for your centered compostion and the lack of sharpness. Here is a kick example on how it could be croped.

(I couldn't avoid artefacts while sharpening, you should get much better result by applying an unsharp mask to your original high resolution file.)

I like this version a lot better. You fixed everything that I would have suggested changing.

Yes Seb is right.Focus was just a smidgen of with some of the leaves more sharper than the red roses.Lovely composition none the less.
